Rose Tree Fire Company & Media Fire Company EMS

All residents and businesses in Upper Providence Township will now receive one fund drive mailings from Rose Tree Fire Company No. 1 for the Fire Fund Drive. They will no longer receive one from Media Fire Company EMS, as Council chose to make a donation to pay for these services for all of our residents.

Rose Tree Fire Company No. 1

Rose Tree Fire Company No. 1 (RTFC), located at 1275 North Providence Road in Upper Providence Township, provides fire and rescue protection for all residents, businesses, and commuters in the township. Each year, RTFC conducts a fund drive mailing to households and businesses—up to three reminders may be sent if there’s no response to earlier mailings.

As a 100% volunteer, nonprofit organization, they rely on the generosity of our community through donations, fundraisers, and grants. Your support allows us to continue serving Upper Providence Township without adding extra costs to residents or businesses.

Every contribution makes a difference. Donations help cover essential expenses like utilities, building maintenance, vehicle repairs, protective gear, and firefighter training. Because they never charge for their services, your support keeps them ready to respond whenever needed.

Media Fire Company EMS

Media Fire Company EMS, located at 11 South Jackson Street in Media Borough, provides Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Advanced Life Support Services (AL)S) to all residents, businesses, commuters, and employees in UPT. Because they operate the ambulance and paramedic units, they serve as the Township’s EMS provider—services that RTFC does not offer.

Donations & Volunteering

A lot of Fire and EMS companies in Pennsylvania—and across the country—are volunteer, nonprofit organizations that rely on donations to serve their communities. Unfortunately, funding and volunteer numbers have declined, making it harder for these essential services to operate.

You don’t have to be a firefighter or EMT to get involved. Fire and EMS companies need help in areas like administration, IT, accounting, social media, event planning, and fundraising. Whatever your skills, there’s a place for you to contribute.
