Sewer rate update effective Jan. 1, 2026
The Upper Providence Sewer Authority has approved a sewer rate increase to support the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the sewer system. This adjustment addresses rising operating costs, aging infrastructure, and required state and federal environmental regulations.
Updated rates:
- Residential Flat Rate: $175 per quarter
- Commercial Rate: $175 per quarter + $10.93 per 1,000 gallons over 16,000 gallons

Who We Are
The governing body of the Authority is a Board consisting of seven members appointed by the Township Council. The terms of the members of the Board are staggered so that the the term of one member expires each year. Members of the Board may be reappointed. None of the members of the Authority Board are members of Township Council. The Board is authorized to exercise any and all powers conferred by the Pennsylvania Municipality Authorities Act necessary for the acquisition, construction, improvement, extension, maintenance, and operation of sewer systems.
