From Upper Providence Township Junior Student Council Members: Liam MacKenzie and Tovin Styles
What we have learned so far this year is that being a Junior Student Council member is hard work and needs a good group of people to be able to do it. While working under the Council Leadership, we have learned about balancing spending in the Township and addressing the public’s request. During Council meetings, when decisions were being made, they would ask us for our input, which can be scary at times. We learned to take good notes and to try to understand and address the needs that were communicated by the public.
We try our best to represent the students of Penncrest High School, as to try to bridge the gap between youth and government. We are thankful for the opportunity to learn about how local government functions, and we look forward to working with the Council in the new year.
Thank you, and happy holidays!
