[ARCHIVED] Meet Our New Township Manager: Don Vymazal

Don Vymazal

Don Vymazal is no stranger to municipal government. Previously working in the Pennsylvania Senate, Don finds that local government is where a person can truly make a difference. Don is very excited to give back to the community in his new role here at Upper Providence as the Township Manager.

Prior to joining Upper Providence Township as the new Township Manager, Don worked 17 years in the Pennsylvania Senate. During his time working for three State Senators in Berks, Chester and Montgomery counties, Don was involved in a variety of projects including constituent services and grant management. Primarily, he worked with municipal level organizations, i.e., townships and boroughs, acting as a liaison between residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and local officials.

Don had known of Upper Providence Township and its commitment to community focused public service for quite some time. When he saw that the opportunity was posted, he jumped at the chance and felt extremely fortunate when he was chosen to serve here as the new Township Manager.

“Upper Providence Township has a wonderful reputation. It is an exceptional place to work and live and has a true sense of community. I look forward to continuing the good work that everyone that has come before me has put in.”

Don has a drive for municipal government. He feels that government at the local level has direct and immediate contact with the residents of the community. He is excited to be an active and engaged part of Upper Providence Township.

“I am always available and willing to help however I can. I want Upper Providence Township residents to consider me as a resource and I am here to serve this wonderful community.”

We are very excited to welcome Don to his new role here at Upper Providence Township. Congratulations and welcome Don!
