Meet Elgin Akarsoy, a dedicated public servant and lifelong Pennsylvania native who is passionate about serving the community of Upper Providence Township. As a council member, Elgin is committed to listening to the needs of residents and working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit everyone.
A resident of the township since 2006, Elgin is deeply invested in the community and is proud to be raising his two elementary-aged children here. He believes in the importance of being accessible and approachable, and can often be seen walking around the township, talking to residents, and hearing their concerns.
As a coach for his children's sports teams, Elgin is also dedicated to supporting the next generation of community leaders. He is committed to making Upper Providence a great place to live, work, and raise a family, and is always looking for ways to engage with residents and make their voices heard.
