On Wednesday, December 6, Upper Providence Township under the leadership of Councilwoman Marsha Peterson and the coordination of the Criminal Investigation Division in Delaware County, held its first-ever and highly significant event outside of the Upper Providence Township building in the back parking lot. The main goal of this proactive approach was to help mitigate the risk of these items falling into the wrong hands and being used in detrimental ways.
We would like to thank everyone who helped make this event a positive experience. We collected 8 firearms and had 14 people stop by to drop off firearms, ammunition, and prescription drugs.
We would like to thank James Nolan, Chief of the Criminal Investigation Division in Delaware Count, for making this event possible and coordinating it. Special thanks also go to the Upper Providence Township Police and the Highway Department for their invaluable support and time.
