Since early November, Upper Providence Township Police (aka UPT Elves) have been making final preparations and wrapping gifts for this 2021 Holiday Season. This is the 12th year the UPT Elves have provided gifts to needy children and their families in Upper Providence Township.
The last two years, without question, have been difficult for many families. The economic downturn brought about by COVID has had a significant impact on so many people this year. 2021 was once again a busy holiday season for the UPT Elves. This year alone, we provided 8 families and 25 children with gifts that they would not have otherwise been able to afford. Over the last 12 years we have purchased over $100,000 in gifts for the needy families in Upper Providence Township. Knowing the smiles the children will have on their face Christmas morning is cherished, priceless gift. None of this would be possible without the generous monetary donations from our residents and business owners. Heartfelt thanks to all who have donated each year. And we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge the incredible work by Police Administrative Assistant Rose Haley, along with daughter Lauren Haley & niece Alexis Neri, who coordinated such a wonderful program.
The Upper Providence Township Police Department wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
