Did you know that Upper Providence Township was founded over 335 year ago! During the following 13.4 generations or so, it’s no surprise our community has seen a lot of change - but one thing that hasn’t changed over all this time is that Upper Providence is a great place to call home.
It was once said, “If you don’t know where you come from, you don’t know where you’re going.” Here at Upper Providence Township, we couldn’t agree more and we want to hear from you, the residents of this great township.
Do you have a story about the Old Rose Tree Tavern, a tale about a time on Ridley Creek, even a legend of local lore passed down from generations prior? If so, we want to hear from you!
Upper Providence Township will be collecting both written stories and recorded videos of life in Upper Providence Township over the years. If you, or someone you know, has an Upper Providence tale worth telling, please call the Township Office at (610) 565-4944 x 102 or submit on the online form here.
Each month we will highlight a moment of Upper Providence Township’s past in our newsletter from the past 335 years of stories!
Submit your written story here or you can upload documents and photos.
