Message from the Township Manager

If you notice a tree or limb obstructing a roadway, please call 911 to report it. The Township's Public Works Department will be notified if the tree or limb is obstructing a Township road. Any trees or limbs in a Township road will be moved out of the way, clearing the road for access. The property owner will be responsible for the removal of the tree from the property. The Public Works Department cannot remove the tree from the property. Please note that PennDOT is responsible for the removal of trees that fall on non-township roads (i.e.Baltimore Pike, Route 252, Providence Road, Rose Tree Road, Kirk Lane, Bishop Hollow Road, S. Orange Street, Palmer's Mill Road, N. Ridley Creek Road, State Road, and parts of Crum Creek Road, Manchester Avenue, and N. Orange Street). The Township is not permitted to remove trees from PennDOT roads.

It is important to note that if a tree is tangled in utility wires, our Public Works Department is not permitted to touch the tree. PECO will be required to remove the wires and when they have completed their work they will notify our Police and Public Works Department.

This storm has caused many downed trees, so please be patient as our Public Works Department works as quickly as possible to handle the trees. Thank you for your understanding.
